Product Overview

The CFS Carbon Compost Pail Filters 3x3 in for ECO 2500-3 Pack brings compact construction and organized spaces together, suited for kids rooms. available in Black. Notable features include what keeps and bin liveable, contributing to its collapsible character.

Key Features

THE PAD IN THE LID IS WHAT KEEPS THE BIN LIVEABLE - Activated carbon sits in the lid vent and reduces the odours that come off food waste as it breaks down. Without it a countertop collector is unpleasant within days; with it, most households can leave the lid shut between emptyings.
THREE PADS, 3 BY 3 INCHES - Three activated carbon pads at 3 by 3 inches and about a quarter inch thick. At a change every one to three months, three pads cover most of a year on a single collector.
CHECK YOUR VENT SIZE - These are 3 by 3 inches, which suits the ECO 2500 and other compact collectors. You can trim a pad down to a smaller vent with scissors, but you cannot make it bigger, so measure the recess in your lid before ordering. Larger pails take a 6 inch or bigger pad.
CHANGE IT WHEN YOU CAN SMELL IT - Carbon gives no other warning; it simply stops holding odour while looking exactly the same. Every one to three months is the usual interval, sooner in a warm kitchen or with a lot of fruit waste. A pad that has gone soggy has stopped working and should be changed regardless.
ALSO USEFUL ELSEWHERE - The same pads can be taped inside a kitchen bin lid, a litter box hood or a diaper pail. This is a compatible replacement pad, not an original manufacturer part, and model names are used for reference only.
